Just hand your membership card to the person at the front desk when you enter the club. Back to top Q. What is Proper Club Attire? Proper sports attire at the club includes sneakers, shirts, shorts or leotards (no jeans) and eyewear if appropriate. Please consult our staff if you have any questions about proper attire at Court House Plus. For your safety, Court House Plus strongly recommends that you wear eyeguards while playing racquetball. Back to top Yes, we have daily lockers that you may use while you're in the club. Please bring your own lock and remember to remove your lock and property when you leave. These lockers are located in both the men's and women's locker rooms. Back to top Q. Are There Social Activities at the Club? Check signs around the club for a complete schedule of upcoming special events, ask at the Front Desk or check our CHP Newsflash page. Back to top Q. How Do I Sign-up for Special Programs? See the front desk personnel if you would like more information about leagues, lessons or other activities. Back to top There's plenty of parking! Members may park on all sides of our building. You will find unlimited parking on the Quality Inn side of our property with sidewalks leading to the front entrance. Back to top It is not necessary to sign up in advance for any group fitness class except Spinning and Double Step. However, the first time you attend a class, please introduce yourself to the instructor. Our staff is anxious to meet you and make you feel at home. Since it is important for you to warm up properly before you exercise, please do not enter a class once it has been in session for more than ten minutes. Please wear proper footwear for classes. Check the Group Fitness and Older Adult Fitness pages for complete class descriptions and schedules. Members and guests must be at least 16 years old to participate in a class. Back to top Q. How Do I Start a Fitness Program? Your membership representative or front desk staff can schedule your first workout with our certified training staff at your convenience. Let our trainers orient you to the fitness center, assess your needs and design a workout program that's just right for you. (You may be asked to obtain clearance from your physician prior to your first workout if any serious medical conditions exist.) Members and guests must be at least 16 years old to use the fitness and free weight areas. Back to top Racquetball rackets are available at the front desk. Basketballs and volleyballs are also available. Back to top Q. Can I Bring a Friend to Work Out with Me? We encourage you to bring friends to Court House Plus; however, there is a $10 guest fee for adults age 16 and older. All guests must be accompanied by a member. Guests 16 and 17 years of age must be directly supervised by an adult 21 years or older. Children under 16 are not permitted to use the club. Back to top We have a heated indoor pool that is used for lap swimming, fitness time, group aqua fitness classes, physical therapy (Rockville General Hospital) and children's swim lessons.
State law requires that you shower before using the pool. A schedule of pool activities is prominently displayed for your convenience. Back to top Yes, our child care center is a wonderful place for children. Our staff is highly trained and always welcomes a new face. No appointment or reservation is necessary. For an especially sensitive child, a few short visits are encouraged before a normal stay. No sick children will be permitted in the center in order to protect the other children. Parents must stay in the club while their children are in child care. A minimal fee is charged for each child. Back to top Our Pro Shop stocks active wear and exercise accessories. In addition, we carry a wide selection of energy bars, sports drinks, and other beverages. If you have any questions regarding the Pro Shop, please see our front desk staff. Back to top It's simple! Annual members are sent renewal invitations one month prior to expiration. Members paying monthly dues are billed directly to a checking account or a charge card. Ask for membership services at the front desk if you have any additional questions. Back to top Q. Do I Have Access to Other Clubs? Because Court House Plus is a member of the International Health Racquet and Sports Association (www.ihrsa.org), members have access to over 1,800 of the finest clubs in the United States and around the world. For more information on this program ask a membership representative, or at the front desk. Back to top Q. How Do I Get Help with a Problem? Your are our number one priority. If you have any concerns, please talk to the Manager on Duty who has the authority to solve just about any problem. You can also jot down any comments and suggestions and place them in our suggestion boxes conveniently located in each locker room or email them to us.
