To make everyone's workout as enjoyable as possible, please follow some common-sense guidelines and policies when using the fitness and free weight areas.

Courtesy to Others

  • Avoid wearing heavy fragrances to the club.

  • Refrain from using cell phones in the workout areas and locker rooms. Keep cell phone conversations limited to Poolside Cafe.

  • Wear clean, odor-free workout attire.

Did you know ...
  • Return all equipment to its proper location after use.

  • Be aware of those working out around you waiting for equipment. Please allow them to work in with you.

  • See a staff person to change a TV channel. Please do not change the stations yourself.

  • Do not turn fans on or off. Please see a staff person.

  • Please treat other members and the staff with the same courtesy you would expect.

Signing Up for Equipment

  • Sign up for only one 20-minute timeslot at a time. If you want to use a piece of equipment longer than 20 minutes, you must exit the machine after the first 20 minutes, determine if there's an open slot and then sign up again. You must sign up to use all cardio equipment, even if the club traffic is slow.
  • Begin using and exit the equipment at the designated time.

  • Do not ask members waiting to get on your piece of equipment if you can stay on a few minutes longer (this puts them on the spot and deprives them of their workout time).

  • If you allow someone to stay on longer than the allotted time, you have given up some of your workout time. Please do not ask the person after you if you can stay on longer.

  • When considering the time, please use the designated cardio clocks, not the timer on the piece of equipment. If you put in twenty minutes on the machine, your time may be up before the machine says it is.

  • There is a 5-minute grace period to get to a piece of equipment you've signed up for. (This does not extend your time by 5 minutes, however.) If you have waited beyond 5 minutes to claim the machine, you may have lost your turn if others were waiting. Your only recourse is to sign up again in a vacant timeslot.

  • Please do not erase another member's name and put your name in its place.

  • Please do not use fictitious names to sign yourself up for multiple slots at one time.

  • If you are not signed up for a piece of equipment and someone is signed up to use your machine even though others are vacant, you must exit the machine and sign up to use another one if you wish to continue your workout.
