What is Spinning?
Spinning is a group experience on specially designed stationary bikes unlike any other in the club. The intensity of the workout is regulated by the amount of resistance you apply to the flywheel of the Spin bike. Spin classes are led by instructors who guide you through your ride, describing hills and simulating the terrain. Although Spinning has a group exercise format and is set to music, you have the freedom to make your workout as challenging as you want. Everyone should ride at their own pace and enjoy the journey. Since Spinning is for everyone, we encourage you to join the ride!

Heads Up!

Spin bikes may only be used during Spinning Classes. Keep your feet in the pedal cage while your legs are in motion. Start at low RPM's and in a sitting position, gradually increasing pedal speed and easing into the standing positions. Keep fingers away from moving parts of the bike. Never turn pedal crank by hand or expose hands or arms to drive mechanism. Only dismount bike when pedals have reached a complete stop. After exercising turn control knob clockwise so pedals will not rotate freely, possibly hurting someone.

If you have any comments, questions or suggestions about Spinning, please email us at chplf@aol.com or call (860) 649-0597.
